We hope you are well.
In this update we want to bring you up to speed with the campaign timeline and how it will unfold.
At present we still need many of you to fill out your BackerKit surveys. These are the surveys we need in order to ascertain exactly what wallet you would like and where to ship them. This helps us place the final order with the manufacturer so they can produce the right quantities of the Casuale Wallet.
Delayed by Indiegogo
As we touched upon in the last update a few months ago we launched a Luxury Apple Watch band on Kickstarter. Indiegogo contacted us to see if we wished to open up an in-demand page over here in order to carry on the momentum of this great campaign. Running concurrently we launched two wallet campaigns here on Indiegogo as an entirely separate venture thinking the two would not clash whatsoever. It turns out that Indiegogo will not release the funds for this campaign until the Apple Watch straps campaign has been shipped.
We are nearly ready to ship the watch bands campaign however this has indeed had a knock on effect on this campaign as without funds we cannot pay the manufacturer to begin. We’re glad to say when we ship the bands in the next few weeks, it should only mean there will be around a month or two delay on the Casuale wallet.
We hope you can see from our perspective we took steps to ensure projects did not clash, however for unforeseen reasons particularly concerning Indiegogo’s hidden T&Cs for creators we got caught short.
Anyhow we thank you so much for your amazing support on this journey.

Surveys:
After last weeks slightly deflating update we have good news! The surveys are now out and will have been sent your Indiegogo associated email address. Almost 90% of you fantastic folk completed the surveys in just 24 hours. Which is fabulous as we now have a large enough sample to begin making plans for manufacturing preparation!
Everything is looking like its back on course and we are really looking forward to getting down to business and crafting these beautiful wallets for you guys.
Updates:
Now you have supported the campaign thus far and also provided your preferences and addresses, your physical input is now complete. However, rest assured we'll be dropping back in to give relevant and noteworthy progress updates.

We realise there has been a delay in sending out the surveys. Obviously, this has caused some confusion amongst everyone (including ourselves) so we just want to address this today.
Usually, a campaign goes something like this:
- Campaign
- Funds clear
- Surveys
- Manufacturing
- Pick and Pack
- Shipping
Due to an unforeseen issue, we are currently held at the 'funds clearing' section. Allow us to explain:
As we have recently run a campaign called 'Bands - Luxury Apple Watch Straps' on Kickstarter, we naturally brought it over to Indiegogo to serve as a continuation of the campaign. Unknowingly we did not realise if we were to launch a further project on Indiegogo, the funds for the latest campaign i.e. Casuale, would be paused until the prior campaign is fulfilled (even though the majority of the Bands campaign ran on an entirely different platform).
So how does this affect us all?
The timeline for the other project is key to this. We will be shipping the Bands late this month, in turn unblocking the payment for Casuale.
You might ask 'why not send the surveys now', well we would love to however the survey collection tool we use charge us around $700 to send them out. This would leave us in a precarious position should for some unknown reason Indiegogo disappeared overnight and we lost the funds for the campaign and surveys too!
We'd love to have blind faith in Indiegogo and the survey tool guys - however, in the world of business it's always best to proceed with caution, especially for a small start-up like ourselves.
So what is the knock-on effect?
In short, we will look to recoup lost time in a sort of back-to-front order. By sending the surveys out super fast when the payment clears and gathering them all within around a week. We will also 'over' manufacturer a few more wallets than the surveys suggest people need, so for any stragglers with the surveys who fall behind with the fast turn around time - they won't have to wait for a second production run to get their wallets.
We estimate this will lead to a delay of around 4 weeks. Meaning instead of shipping in late September, wallets will be sent in late October. However please do not lose faith - we know how important timelines are. Therefore we will shave off time wherever we can, but without sacrificing the high quality we are known for.
